The modern holiday house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, large terrace and a private plunge pool on the roof terrace.
The vacation house is stylishly decorated and has a large terrace with a dining table with 6 chairs and lounge furniture, followed by a private garden with sun loungers and direct access to the communal garden with 3 pools.
On the ground floor, the entrance hall with guest toilet leads into the spacious lounge/diner with a fully fitted modern open plan kitchen with breakfast bar. Sliding glass doors lead out to the private terrace. The stylish living room has a large Smart TV with English and other international and sports channels.
On the first floor you will find the spacious master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, built in wardrobe and a large terrace with beautiful views. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share a bathroom.
On the second floor is the private roof terrace with partial sea views. On this roof terrace you can relax in your own splash pool and enjoy the sun on the sun loungers and lounge sofas.
On the basement floor there is an extra chill room with a sofa bed for 2 people and a coffee table. The room has no windows and no air conditioning. However, it has ventilation and is much cooler than the rest of the house. There is also a separate laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. From the basement, a lockable door leads to the communal garage with two private parking spaces.
La Cala de Mijas
The location of La Valvega is unique. It is situated on the edge of the beautiful old fishing village of La Cala de Mijas. La Cala is a little gem on the eastern Costa del Sol. La Cala is known for its wide sandy beach and a developing restaurant scene (Spanish, Indian, Italian, British, Thai, etc.) Try Elliott Wright's famous Olivia's la Cala restaurant and cocktail bar with live music. There are also many bars and terraces, shops and local markets and, last but not least, there are several golf courses nearby. The promenade along the beach is also a must. From the old watchtower in La Cala, you can walk along the beach to the marina of Cabopino via the beautiful footpath (el sendero). (Total 6.8km) The old watchtower in La Cala is just 1km from La Valvega. The Torre de La Cala is a point of interest. There's an exhibition centre where you can see photographs of the original fishing village of La Cala. You can also climb to the top of the tower and enjoy the views.

Important: The private plunge pool is cleaned once a week (usually on Wednesdays) by the company Just Pools. Access is via the concierge. It is essential that you allow them access so that the chemicals and water level remain at the correct level. The plunge pool cannot be used while they are present.
At the end of July is the feria of La Cala de Mijas, this normally lasts 4 days usually at the end of July and is in the area where the weekly market is normally held. (2023 from 26 - 30 July)
Due to the drought, all swimming pools on the Costa del Sol are closed from the end of 2023 to June 2024. From June to end September 2024, they are allowed to open. And after that, they have to shut again until further notice from the government.
